Western Days is an exciting celebration in Independence, OR that you don't want to miss. Held annually for several days around the July 4th holiday, it is full of fun and activities for all ages.
The Monmouth-Independence Rotary Club's Grand Parade is just one of the many events on the 4th, making it's way through Monmouth and Independence, and ending at Riverview Park in downtown Independence. Cascade Amusements will be hosting a carnival in the park, plus there will be Vendors, Artisans, Entertainers, Crafts, and Children's Activities; and at the Independence Amphitheater, there will be live entertainment. A magnificent fireworks display will be presented over the river on the 4th, and a slightly smaller fireworks show for Hometown Appreciation Day on July 6th. Both fireworks shows begin at 10 PM, and the vendors will remain open for business until midnight on those nights.
A $1.00 fee for everyone over the age of 6 is collected at Riverview Park in Independence on July 4th and 6th. These contributions help pay for the spectacular fireworks shows. All other events and activities are free! For true small-town family fun, come join us for the Willamette Valley's finest & most popular 4th of July event.
